A coach who already was coaching without thinking about it. That was the case in the years when I was not yet working as an independent coach. Before, I mainly worked in accountancy, but preferred to be a sparring partner for clients and coaching team members, rather than preparing annual accounts. That was a point of attention during an assessment interview, they said. For me the signal to start working for an American temporary employment agency. But in 2005 this came to an end, and there was the moment to fulfill my dream of becoming an independent life coach.
Combining my financial background with coaching skills then took me into the combined role of financial and change manager at large organizations. E.g. Utrecht University, health institution ‘s Heeren Loo, postal and parcel company TNT and law firm De Raadgevers.
Meanwhile I continued to develop myself in the field of coaching and trauma healing. The attention towards job-related questions slowly shifted to the combination of work and private life, and questions regarding life in general.

In the field of trauma healing, I am strongly inspired by the following persons: Dr. Johannes B. Schmidt, Andrea Wandel, Dr. Peter A. Levine, Dr. Matthew Appleton, Dr. Jaap C. van der Wal, Dr. Thomas Harms, Dr. Raymond Castellino, Maggie Kline, Gloria Desideri, Dr. Urs Honauer. I met them during training, seminars and conferences.
Major trauma healing themes at those conferences in Switzerland and Germany were: embryology, pregnancy and the early emotional contacts between parent and child as the key to our lives. Several books which I read covered those themes as well. So much to learn and understand from our embryo time and childhood!
